About Us
Victoria Academies Trust is a Primary Trust in the West Midlands. It was founded in 2014 and has grown year on year with a mix of sponsor schools, partner schools and free schools. We currently have ten schools across Sandwell, Birmingham, Walsall, Stafford and Worcestershire. This includes our newest school, Elm Tree Primary Academy, a special school in Sandwell for autistic children which opened in September 2022.
Victoria Academies Trust was set up in 2014 by Victoria Park Academy in Sandwell with the sole aim to ‘make our people the best they can be’.
Each academy is unique and has its own identity. However, all academies to share the vision, values and beliefs across all of our schools to ensure a sense of common purpose and belonging.
We are passionate about making a difference to the lives of our pupils, families, and colleagues.
Our Journey
Victoria Academies Trust is an established multi-academy trust created on 1st January 2014. It began as a single academy and is named after its founder school, Victoria Park in Smethwick. In 2012, it converted to academy status, later becoming the lead school and sponsor within Victoria Academies Trust.
At any one time, typically half of our schools will have been in special measures at some point. We have a unique understanding therefore of the challenges that schools and their communities face when transforming the life chances of our families. With a blend of high performing schools (converter or partner academies) , our newly opening free schools, and those that we sponsor that are on the journey to excellence, we are aiming to build a family of like minded schools who share our passion for real, immersive and purposeful learning.
