Victoria Academies Trust is working in partnership with Best Practice Network to deliver the Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship via local Face-to-Face sessions in Smethwick. This will be an opportunity for TAs to gain experience and confidence in fulfilling their role, while networking with TAs from the area and sharing contextual practice.
The programme is delivered over 15 months with 10 Face-to-Face sessions. TAs will have the opportunity to develop specialist areas in SEND, English as an Additional Language (EAL), Early Years, Behaviour and Assessment. Full support will be provided by Best Practice Network for TAs to grow within their role.
TA level 3 apprenticeship overview
- Apprenticeship levy-funded, which BPN can help schools access if they haven’t before (we have a large team dedicated to supporting schools with this)
- 15-18 month duration
- The programme is ideal for anyone already working as a Teaching Assistant, or looking for a career as a Teaching Assistant
- Certificated training in up to two chosen specialist areas: SEND, Early Years, Behaviour, EAL and Assessment
- Fantastic well-being programme to support learners throughout the programme
- Potential fast-track to Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
- Work with teachers to understand and support assessment
